  If you are looking at the points table you see runs scored(For & Against). Divide the scores by the number of overs. (Both “FOR” & “AGAINST”) subtract the answer that you get and its the net runrate. For eg.

  Chennai
  For 1725/197.0 8.756
  Against 1659/185.1 8.962
  Subtract (8.756-8.962) = NRR =0.206. In this case I have taken the first three decimal but officially they take upto 10 digits.
